Le Debut - The Banjo Consorsium [seed014]

I love music that is personal. This release is full of wonderful tones, sounding somewhat "hand-made" and... strongly personal. "my.sugar melted" is my favorite - what a great soundtrack for sentimental scenes. I admire this skillful use of classic instruments - like trumpets, guitars, flutes, violins. Simply great.

Official text:
nostalgic, thoughtful, and unique. a mixture of classic folk-tale sounds and modern beats, the banjo consorsium’s “le debut” is a refreshing addition to the seedsound library: it is haunting and almost desparate at times… searching for a path through something uncharted and innocent, while maintaining a mature precision in a production that is truly personal.
